Feingold: Cut off war funding in six months
Calling on Congress to "respond to the will of the American people," Sen. Russ Feingold introduced a bill today that would prohibit the administration from using funds for the "continued deployment of U.S. Armed forces to the Republic of Iraq" six months after the bill is enacted. In a press release, Feingold's office stresses that the measure would "not prevent any U.S. troops from receiving salaries, equipment, training and other resources," nor would it prohibit the military from conducting "targeted counter-terrorism operations in Iraq."
Note to Joe Biden: Feingold is not running for president.
