War Room

Now Joe the Plumber tells us?

Apparently, the accidental celebrity of this year's election isn't really a big John McCain fan.

Apparently, the American people weren't the only ones who felt a little dirty about Joe the Plumber's presence on the campaign trail. He felt the same way.

At least, that's what he told conservative talker Glenn Beck in a recent appearance on Beck's radio show to promote his forthcoming book, "Joe the Plumber: Fighting for the American Dream."

ThinkProgress has the transcript (Wurzelbacher is Joe the Plumber):

WURZELBACHER: When I was on the bus with him... I asked him some pretty direct questions. Some of the answers you guys are gonna receive — they appalled me, absolutely. I was angry. In fact I wanted to get off the bus after I talked to him.

BECK: Really? Now why didn’t you get off the bus?

WURZELBACHER: Um, you know, honestly, because the thought of Barack Obama as president scares me even more.

There was someone he liked, though: "Sarah Palin," he said, "is absolutely the real deal."
