Obama to be sworn in on Lincoln Bible

Maybe he's not a Muslim after all.

Bad news for that segment of the population still worried that Barack Obama will turn the U.S. into a nation governed by Sharia law as of Jan. 21: The president-elect will be taking the oath of office on the Lincoln Bible.

According to a release from the Presidential Inaugural Committee, the last person to use the Lincoln Bible was Abraham Lincoln himself, who swore his oath on it in 1861. It's currently part of the collections of the Library of Congress.

Of course, Obama could still have a trick up his sleeves -- he could, after all, just cross his fingers while he takes the oath. Or maybe he'll hollow out the Lincoln Bible and place a Koran inside of it. We'll all have to remain vigilant.
