			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Patience Agbabi was born in London in 1965 to Nigerian parents. She published her debut collection "R.A.W." in 1995. In 1997, she won the Excelle Literary Award for poetry. </p><p>Her latest book of poetry, "Transformatrix," was inspired by three decades of disco, rap and poetry. An exploration of women and metamorphosis, the book at once comments on 20th century Britain and reveals an honest self-portrait of Agbabi.
