On a new episode of Friends (8 p.m., NBC), Rachel starts smoking to impress her nicotine-fiend boss. Will & Grace (8:30 p.m., NBC) moves into its new time slot with a new episode in which Grace finds herself replaced as Will's buddy by a nurturing neighbor (guest Molly Shannon). The ever hep Fox Files (9 p.m., Fox) spotlights a dangerous new youth trend -- racin' in the street. Next week: Is rock 'n' roll the devil's music? On a new ER (10 p.m., NBC), Weaver thinks she's found her birth mother, Hathaway makes a big decision and Carter walks in Greene's shoes for a day.
