Mimi Rogers slinks in for a guest spot on It's like, you know ... (8:30 p.m., ABC) playing a sexual-harassment lawyer who sexually harasses Arthur. Sign her up for "Ally McBeal"! The West Wing (9 p.m., NBC) reruns its September pilot, in which some members of President Bartlet's inner circle are scrambling to unruffle the feathers of a conservative Christian leader, whom one of them has insulted on national television, while others are more concerned with the fact that deputy press secretary Rob Lowe has left his pager at a hooker's apartment.

Adam Carolla and Kathy Griffin host the Billboard Music Awards (8 p.m., Fox), which was made over last year in the image of the MTV Video Music Awards. Metallica, Emmylou Harris, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin and, of course, Britney Spears, perform from Vegas. In Martha Stewart's Home for the Holidays (8 p.m., CBS), the dogged pursuer of homespun elegance drags Aretha Franklin into the woods in search of the perfect Christmas tree. They will never be seen again.
