Nova (check local time, PBS) presents "Tales From the Hive," which uses microscopic photography to follow a colony of bees through one busy year. Buffy the Vampire Slayer (8 p.m., WB) and Angel (9 p.m., WB) rerun the crossover episode where Spike returns to Sunnydale in search of an ancient ring that makes vampires impervious to sunlight. Nature (check local times, PBS) begins the three-part series "Inside the Animal Mind," a study of animal consciousness, cognition and emotion. Dateline NBC (10 p.m., NBC) has a Maria Shriver report on fibromyalgia.
