We've all felt pangs of jealousy toward a lover, whether it's driving past their home for no reason, whooping with joy at their misfortunes or bad-mouthing their new lovers. One vengeful Russian man took his jealous instincts to the extreme last week, when an attempt to kill his wife and her paramour went horribly wrong and he ended up taking his own life.

According to Itar-Tass news agency, the tragic misfire occurred in the far eastern city of Khabarovsk. A man paid a visit to an apartment in which he believed his wife and her lover were shacking up. He issued a threat that he would "deal" with the two and left.

The following day the jealous husband returned with a homemade bomb, intent on seeking the ultimate revenge. He would make his wife pay for her sins with her life! He would kill her, along with the jerk she was sleeping with, and then right would be restored! The two heathens would perish together in an explosion of hellfire and justice would triumph at last!

Unfortunately, as the man prepared to attach his shop-class bomb to the door of the apartment, it accidentally detonated and blew him to pieces.

Tass did not explain whether the wife and her lover were injured in the blast, but it's certain that the apartment door would need replacing.
