Series

CBS counterprograms NBC's Olympics coverage with a 13-night rerun of Survivor (9 p.m. Fri. and Sat., CBS). In Episode 1, Richard tries to hypnotize the Tagi tribe with human relations mumbo jumbo, but nobody listens to him. Ha! They will all pay for this in the end! In Episode 2, the Pagong tribe comes to the realization that B.B. is a cranky old pain in the ass. On 20/20 (10 p.m. Fri., ABC), Peter Jennings wraps up his look at the lives and careers of Al and Dubya. On Sex and the City (9 p.m. Sun., HBO), the girls continue their Los Angeles romp, joined by newlywed Charlotte, who has had it with her rich, handsome and impotent husband. Behind the Music (9 p.m. Sun., VH1) scrutinizes the ups and downs of those nice Canadian hit makers Barenaked Ladies.

Specials

The '70s: The Decade That Changed Television (7 p.m. Sun., ABC) pays tribute to the decade that gave us groundbreakers such as "All in the Family," "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," "M*A*S*H," "Saturday Night Live," "The Rockford Files" and "The Jeffersons." Not to mention "Get Christie Love!" and "Mr. T. and Tina." The new cable movie Hendrix (8 p.m. Sun., Showtime) dramatizes the life of Jimi (played by Wood Harris). And "ripped from the headlines" TV movies make a comeback with The Elian Gonzalez Story (8 p.m. Sun., Fox Family), starring Esai Morales as Juan Miguel, Alec Roberts as Elian and Miguel Sandoval as Uncle Lazaro. Come, relive the magic!
