Mystery! (9 p.m., PBS, check local listings) begins the four-part "Touching Evil, Series Three," starring Robson Green as intense detective Dave Creegan. In this one, Creegan is just back from psychiatric sick leave and itching to look into an old ritualistic murder case. Carter gets out of rehab and a custodial strike has the place looking messier than usual on a rerun of ER (10 p.m., NBC).
