Sai Baba: Pedophile or God incarnate?

Are the charges against the Indian guru part of a meat, oil, lumber and mining conspiracy? Readers respond to Michelle Goldberg's report.

Read the story.

I read the story of Sai Baba, the Indian guru, written by Michelle Goldberg. I had contributed what I know about Sai Baba and his pedophilia to this story, and I wish to add that I had represented this matter to the U.S. Department of State, and the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, which asked me to assist the FBI in its fact-finding mission.

I met with the FBI officers in Chicago, and gave them more than 100 pages of sworn affidavits from victims of sexual abuse from all over the world, many of them from U.S. citizens, including minors.

The FBI, after consulting with the U.S. attorney's office, has sent the Sai Baba case to the Department of Justice in Washington, where it has been sitting for the past three months with no further action so far.

Sai Baba is a dangerous pedophile in the guise of a guru, and enjoys the active support of top Indian political leaders including Prime Minister Vajpayee. Sai Baba's organization is worth about $1.5 billion worldwide, and enjoys tax-exempt status in the U.S.

It seems rather likely that the U.S. government, under diplomatic pressure from the top levels of the Indian government, are soft-pedaling the Sai Baba matter, to save the top Indian leadership from being discredited.

Because pedophilia is one of the most evil crimes, shocking the conscience of every right-thinking human being, U.S. citizens, media, legislators and law enforcement officials should ensure that maximum effort is taken in making the Indian government do what it should do: investigate and prosecute Sai Baba.

The U.S. government, too, can file a case against Sai Baba, as many of its citizens, including minors, have been sexually abused. And unless something is done, this is going to continue. Although the crimes are being committed in India, surely there are many means by which the U.S. government can formally ask the Indian government to initiate investigations.

All former devotees and supporters of Truth and Goodness appreciate your shining the spotlight of Truth on the dark side of Sathya Sai Baba, who calls himself God.

Hopefully your story will open the eyes and touch the hearts of the American people, and will be syndicated throughout the world media until this evil molester of children is brought to justice. And hopefully his organization will be exposed and held accountable for covering up these heinous acts for over 40 years.

We thank you for your excellent writing -- and may it soon be proved that he is indeed not "untouchable."

I am sorry that you and Michelle Goldberg chose to be a party to the international meat, oil, lumber, pharmaceutical, mining cartel that is waging an attack on Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the only man in history to have more than 100 million devotees believing him to be an avatar, or incarnation of God himself.

Baba, like all without impurity, is a mirror lake for those who come to him. Thus the human squirrel will project onto him fear hoarding, a human fox will project onto him cunning, a human pig overeating in confinement will project onto him grief eating (though he weighs 108 pounds), a human tiger will project onto him rapacious cruelty, etc.

Homosexuality in India is not tolerated by the police. While this writer has no problem with faithful, truth-telling gay men, there is a subculture of the gay movement that spreads disease and multiple heartbreaks through its poly-partner mentality, which promotes youth and form consciousness, promotes the untruth of never outing oneself and promotes giving AIDS to a wife rather than telling her the truth. An international pedophile ring is part of the attacks on Baba, who is Desireless.

Baba's example of veganism and his lifetime work to end the slaughter of animals has made enemies of the meat industry. He is Love Incarnate. Anyone who cannot see this is blind or projecting his own garbage onto the pellucid mirror reflection.

My introduction to Baba was the book "Baba" by Arnold Schulman, a Hollywood screenwriter. It was followed by "Sai Baba the Holy Man and the Psychiatrist" by San Diego psychiatrist Samuel Sandweiss. There are thousands of books written about Baba by Catholic priests and nuns, Russian yoga teachers, African Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, former agnostics and atheists.

Put your toe in the Ocean of Love. Read about Baba.

I'm sad that the only article that you've ever printed on Sai Baba -- a great spiritual teacher in India with millions of followers who has been a tremendous force for good -- has focused on slanderous accusations against him advanced by only a handful of people. Why not do some balanced reporting? There are thousands of stories of his benevolent, miraculous and progressive accomplishments.

Well, it just goes to show: While it's not really necessary to be a religious figure to abuse children and act like a lunatic, it never hurts.
