Like a virgin

Move over Britney -- Kelly Clarkson wants to be the new chaste one; Wesley Snipes gets some. Plus: What's bigger than a laptop and cries? Ask Bill Gates.

Bring on the next virgin sacrifice!

Now that Britney Spears has all but admitted she's no longer the unplucked flower she pledged to remain until married, "American Idol" winner Kelly Clarkson is apparently trying to tread in her formerly chaste footsteps.

Or so Clarkson's friends say.

"Kelly has never had sex. She wants to save herself for marriage and says she probably won't walk down the aisle until she's at least 30," Clarkson's buddy Jessica Hugghins tells the U.K. Sun.

And Hugghins isn't the only one dishing the nondirt about her friend's love life.

"She used to joke that she'd probably be a virgin until she was old and grey," another friend, Sarah Tom, told the tab. "Guys have never been a priority."

Neither, apparently, was picking friends who could keep their traps shut.

This is for all the parents of fat girls

"It's the payback to your parents. They just get so much enjoyment out of riding on my name. They love it."

White men can't jump as many bones

Speaking of something for all the fat girls ...

Wesley Snipes credits them with inspiring his entire acting career.

He got into acting, he tells the upcoming issue of Maxim, because it "was a way to meet women."

And he says even now he's reaping the benefits of his decision.

"Women make passes at me every day," he shares. "It comes with the job, being 40 feet high on a movie screen."

And don't think size doesn't matter. It matters to Snipes.

"I go for full-bodied women," he tells the mag. "I like the slim women, too, but I really like the full-bodied women. It's just more to hold on to, and you never know when you're going to eat again."

Don't listen, Camryn.

Juicy bits

Scary news: We soon may be seeing a lot more of Michael Jackson. The proboscisly challenged pop star says he's planning to take time away from his music to just do film. "I'd like to get six great movies behind me, and then I'll do a little bit of touring, then I'll do more filming," Jackson told the British magazine Gold. But you may see him off the big screen, too. Jackson's finding that people are increasingly seeing through his best disguises, which consist of "bat suits, buck teeth, glasses, afros, prosthetics and make-up jobs." Probably make him look more normal.

Do you think Phoebe Cates feels threatened or flattered? Bill Gates and his wife, Melinda, have named their new baby daughter, born Saturday in Bellevue, Wash., Phoebe Adelle Gates. A spokeswoman for the Gates family told the Associated Press that the baby, the couple's third child, tipped the scale at 9 lbs. 13 oz. Heavier than a laptop, but lighter than Gates' wallet.
