Bill Maher on bin Laden

Bill Maher told his "Real Time" audience on HBO last night that he thinks he might have been in Hollywood too long, After seeing the video of Osama, who's been out of the public eye for two years, "My first reaction was, Wow, I think he's had some work done."

Maher said he believed the video would not shake the American people's resolve as they head toward the voting polls on Tuesday. "Osama does not pick our president," he boldly declared. "The Supreme Court does that."

But Osama really got in Bush's face, with the pet goat gloat and all that, said Maher. "And then to really stick the knife in, he drops in from absolutely nowhere that Dick Cheney's daughter is a lesbo."

All in all, Bush had a really rough week, said Maher: "He couldn't even get the radio on his back to stop playing Ashlee Simpson."
