Dot.com, president, whatever

It has been said that the Internet has changed politics this year, but it's sure not because the candidates themselves are Web-savvy.

First Dick Cheney directed folks to factcheck.com when he meant to send them to Annenberg's factcheck.org. Then George W. Bush tried to shut down rumors of.a draft swirling around that thing he called "the Internets."

Sunday night in Tampa, it was John Kerry's turn for a Web flub. Urging voters to read what Bush said in his one of his speeches, Kerry said the speech could be found at some "dot.com, president, whatever."

Maybe Al Gore shouldn't have invented the Internet after all.
