Gannon's gone, but Talon will soar again

Salon's Eric Boehlert has the details today on the downfall of the pseudonymous pseudo-reporter Jeff Gannon, who resigned from Talon News this week amid questions about his true identity and allegations about links to websites the White House probably wouldn't call "family friendly." We're left with just one question: With Gannon gone, where will we turn now for his special brand of "fair and balanced" journalism?

We needn't fear. Gannon's former boss, Talon News editor Bobby Eberle, says in a statement on Talon's Web site that Talon is "currently evaluating candidates" to fill the "critical assignment" Gannon once handled, and that readers should see "minimal interruption of Talon's coverage of our nation's capitol and the White House in the meantime."
