Just when you thought he couldn't sound any more oddly unpresidential... Holding court in the East Room of the White House on Friday, the president gave props to four NCCA championship teams: "I also want to welcome the Stanford Women's Volleyball team," Bush said, midway through his remarks. "I was telling the women from Stanford that I was just with Condoleezza Rice, former provost of Stanford University. I said, come by and welcome the homegirls."
But apparently Condi was off practicing diplomacy. "She said she had to meet with a leader from another nation," Bush added. "So she sends her best to you."
