If the Rehnquist watch was at full boil this morning, the top is blowing off now. According to Matt Drudge, Bob Novak, who predicted in his column yesterday that the chief justice would retire before the week is out, is now saying to expect an announcement this afternoon, just after Air Force One completes its return trip from the G8 summit.
