Daily Download: "Kloy Gyn," Efterklang

This track, from Danish 10-piece ensemble Efterklang's recently reissued debut EP "Springer," opens with some atmospheric chiming sounds and a marvelous, minutely programmed beat, and develops into something between the chamber-orchestrated instrumental grandiosity of Norway's Jaga Jazzist and the secretive, cloistered world of Iceland's Mum. It doesn't quite deliver on its opening promise, in part because of the undistinguished vocals that join midway through, but the track is full of jewel-like details.
