Targeting Target

Let 'em know their E.C. policy has you seeing red this holiday season.

It killed me, but I finally got around to unsubscribing from Target's "Free Shipping on 20,000 Gifts!" e-mails. And now -- given that, as you probably heard, Target won't budge from its policy allowing its pharmacists to opt out of dispensing emergency contraception -- it's time to do the next right thing. A helpful Broadsheet reader named Kathy writes: "I would love to see you encourage readers to flood Target with e-mails about this. I did a little research and found that readers can e-mail any store manager with Txxxx.stl@target.com, where xxxx is the four-digit store number." (You can call your local Target for its number.)

Other options: Fill out Target's pharmacy contact form or simply use the Store Locator to find the direct phone number for any Target pharmacy.

You can, of course, also use the form provided by Planned Parenthood. And while you're holiday gift hunting, perhaps you'll follow the lead of this enterprising blogger: "I am sending them an e-mail every time I shop at Kohl's or K-Mart."
