Singing like a bird on a wire

As if congressional Republicans didn't have enough to worry about, Time's sources say that Randy "Duke" Cunningham wore a wire for federal investigators.

As if cooperatin' Jack Abramoff didn't give Republicans in Congress enough to worry about, there's this report from Time magazine: Just before he pleaded guilty to corruption charges at the end of November, sources say that California Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham helped federal investigators by wearing a wire. Time says it's "unclear" whose conversations Cunningham might have been beaming back to the guys in the truck -- a subject, and understandably so, of "furious and nervous speculation by congressional Republicans."
