WaM conference to bring women in media together

We don't usually plug stuff in Broadsheet but this event merits an exception. Sign up now for the third annual Women, Action & the Media (WaM!) conference, where feminist authors, journalists, activists, bloggers, and students gather to "share skills, trade information, exchange strategies and inform and inspire one another." This year's conference will be held March 31-April 2 in Cambridge, Mass., and featured speakers and panelists inlcude Broadsheet's Rebecca Traister and Cecelie Berry; Liza Featherstone, author of "Selling Women Short: The Landmark Battle for Workers' Rights at Wal-Mart"; Maria Hinojosa, senior correspondent for NOW on PBS and anchor of NPR's Latino USA; author and journalist Jill Nelson; Jessica Valenti of Feministing,among many, many other incredible women.
