Chile's president-elect appoints a half-female Cabinet.

What a novel idea! Chile's president-elect, Michelle Bachelet, announced on Monday that as promised, her Cabinet would be made up of 10 men and 10 women.

Bachelet, a former pediatrician, will also create two new ministries -- one for the environment and one for public security.
