Ladies, are you F.A.T.? That stands for "fabulous and thick." Then Mo'Nique wants you for her second full-figured beauty competition. "Mo'Nique's Fat Chance" on Oxygen has issued a casting call seeking larger-than-life beauty queens. Check out this interview with the reigning Miss F.A.T., 23-year-old Joanne Borgella, and find out how to enter here.

I'm bummed I missed watching the first pageant last August, but hope to catch the next one, and would love to hear about the first from readers who saw it. It just raises so many questions: As our nation's waistlines widen, are we --finally! -- widening our beauty standards, too? Hooray! But if so, is that really a good thing, given the health risks associated with being overweight or obese? Finally, does the pageant genuinely celebrate its contestants, or is it just presenting a plus-sized freak show in a go-girl, feel-good wrapper?

Oh, what the hell. Why should drag queens and teenage boys have all the subversive pageantry fun, anyway?
