Are Abramoff connections an issue?

Gale Norton will resign as George W. Bush's interior secretary today.

A source tells the Denver Post that Norton isn't leaving because of any problems and just wants to "go home for a while." We'll see. As the Rocky Mountain News reports, Norton's name has come up in connection with Jack Abramoff, who is said to have steered money to an environmental group Norton founded -- and used a former Norton associate -- in an effort to win favorable Interior Department treatment for his tribal clients.
