Breaking news: Katie Couric might leave the "Today" show to anchor "The CBS Evening News"! An announcement could come as early as this week!

Wait, you heard that already? Like two dozen times this week? Well, Matt Drudge has found a way to advance the story: by splashing his front page with a headline ("I'M GOING TO CBS!") that links to a Howard Kurtz story in which Couric says no such thing, a photograph of Couric dancing on the plaza with Antonio Banderas, and the lyrics to "The Mary Tyler Moore Show."

That's right! Head over to the Drudge Report, where the top of the page currently reads: "Who can turn the world on with her smile? Who can take a nothing day, and suddenly make it all seem worthwhile? Well it's you girl, and you should know it ... With each glance and every little movement you show it ... Love is all around, no need to waste it ... You can have a town, why don't you take it ... You're gonna make it after all ..."

Photo of Couric spinning with Banderas. Misleading headline. Same story you've been reading for 48 hours.

Awesome.
