Georgia Anne Muldrow is a 22-year-old singer and producer who has created a truly confounding and unique debut album -- self-composed and performed -- for Stones Throw, titled "The Worthnothings." She uses all the familiar sounds of modern, hip-hop infused R&B, the familiar vocal mannerisms and gorgeous vintage drum 'n' bass samples, but all flipped and recombined in such a way as to render the sound, even in its essential familiarity, nearly incomprehensible. It's a bit like listening to someone speak pig Latin if you've never been told how it works, grasping at recognizable bits of English, but not quite putting it all together.
