Katie Holmes' wedding gown: Cleavage-free? Snoop Dogg writes novel. Plus: Heads roll at Page Six!

Published April 21, 2006 1:30PM (EDT)

Morning Briefing:
No rest for Katie: Now that the pesky birth thing is out of the way, it's time for Katie Holmes to start focusing on the next enormous, life-changing event: her wedding. TMZ claims to have the details on her wedding gown already, saying it will be "a sleek, strapless A-line dress that is form fitted across the waist and falls to the floor. As for cleavage -- not so much. The bust is cut straight across." In more disturbing news, Holmes has apparently also met with a personal trainer -- a woman named Sue Fleming, who's created her own niche market by launching a training program called Buff Brides. Fleming is said to be (or maybe already is?) getting Holmes to work "especially hard on her shoulders and back." (TMZ)

Page Six cleans house: In the wake of the Jared Paul Stern alleged-bumbled-payoff-attempt scandal, Page Six has fired all of its freelance writers, those who filled what the Daily News calls the column's "fourth chair," the lowest link in the column's food chain below editor Richard Johnson and staffers Chris Wilson and Paula Froelich. On Thursday, Fernando Gil, Lisa Marsh and Christopher Tennant (and, obviously, Stern) got the unceremonious boot, but the paper is keeping mum about the whole thing. "The editors will not discuss their internal management decisions," said Post rep Howard Rubenstein. (N.Y. Daily News)

Money Quote:
Dennis Quaid on his inspiration for his role as a U.S. president in "American Dreamz": "I didn't want to impersonate anyone. I think I got a little bit of Bush in there, but also some Clinton and Reagan. But I do have to say, I hope I don't get audited by the IRS." (Page Six)
