Wax Tailor is a French producer whose "Tales of the Forgotten Melodies" consists of classy, low-key instrumental hip-hop insidiously and effectively laced with spoken samples from classic films (Truffaut, Hitchcock, etc.) that add a layer of implied complexity and sophistication to what is essentially exquisitely made chill-out music. "Am I Free" features a gorgeous, complex flute loop and a somewhat incongruous bongo, which nonetheless manages to blend into the overall vibe of the track quite nicely.
