A Crown Prosecution Service investigation has revealed a rise in the public sale of women who have been smuggled into the United Kingdom to be sex slaves. Those public auctions are apparently happening in airports; the CPS reports news of a woman-auction in front of a coffee shop in the Gatwick arrivals hall. Women have also been sold at what the CPS director Nazir Afzal called "slave auctions" at Heathrow and Stansted airports.
