Morning Briefing:
Kidman-Urban nuptials made official: Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban arrived in Sydney on Sunday night and finally did away with pretending their wedding -- scheduled for this weekend -- was just a gossip magazine rumor. "We are very happy to be back in Australia," the couple said in a statement. "We have come home to celebrate our wedding with our family and friends." Kidman celebrated her 39th birthday on Tuesday by sending a case of beer out to the paparazzi staked out in front of her harborside house; earlier in the day, the photogs had sung her a happy birthday through the front gate intercom. And despite the recent rumors that she's carrying a baby -- Star still insists "Nicole has to be pregnant!" -- her rep says it ain't true: "She's not pregnant. Believe me on this one: She is religious, and that would never do." (Rush & Molloy, Star, People)

Madonna tones it down for dad? Madonna's ongoing "Confessions" tour rolled into Chicago last week, and apparently there was a very special guest in the audience at the Thursday night show -- her dad, Silvio "Tony" Ciccone. According to audience members, she cleaned up her act a bit for him, cutting down on the swearing and dropping the lyrics "Just go to Texas and suck George Bush's dick" from her song "I Love New York." "She gave the crowd the finger only one time and never once said the f-word," a source who has also seen earlier shows tells the Scoop. "At one point, she actually asked the audience to applaud extra loud for her so that her dad would know she made something of herself. The crowd went wild." (The Scoop)

The official announcement from CBS that Dan Rather will be leaving the network is expected to be released sometime on Tuesday. (Hollywood) ... Elisabeth Shue gave birth to a baby girl, Agnes Charles Guggenheim, on Sunday. It's her third child with husband Davis Guggenheim. (People) ... Greg Kinnear and his wife, Helen, have announced that they welcomed a baby daughter, Audrey Mae, into the world last week. She's the couple's second daughter. (Life Style Extra) ... Bruce Willis is suing Los Angeles paparazzo Anthony Goodrich for at least $1 million in damages -- the suit claims that Goodrich made up his well-publicized recent story that Willis punched him outside a West Hollywood restaurant. (TMZ) ... Apple is close to finalizing a deal to start selling downloadable movies through iTunes. The sticking point with the major studios is price -- Apple wants a $9.99 flat rate for all films, while the studios would like flexible pricing to offer new movies at higher prices. (Variety) ... There are fresh rumors circulating that Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro are headed for a breakup after she skipped out on his recent birthday party "It's not going to last the summer," a source close to both spills, "but it looks like they're going to let it fester for a while before they finally call it quits."
