"The Grass Is Always Greener" is the fourth full-length from Germany's Barbara Morgenstern, whose commercial viability may be limited in the U.S. because of her stubborn and laudable decision to sing in her native language, but who makes some of the most appealing electronic indie-pop out there. The album's single, "The Operator," is a catchy, dancey electro confection, but more interesting are the album's many piano-based tracks, like the fizzy "Alles Was Lebt Bewegt Sich," which features some nifty harmonic twists and beautiful harmony vocals.
