Emmett Kelly is a young guitarist whose impressive résumé includes touring with Beth Orton and recording with Will Oldham. The new self-titled release by his solo project, the Cairo Gang, is a collection of rainy-day melancholia, fragmented and atmospheric, meandering through a variety of creative lo-fi instrumental textures.
