Russian President Vladimir Putin finally answered questions about why he paused in a Kremlin courtyard recently to pull up a small boy's shirt and kiss him on the belly. "He seemed to me very independent, very serious, but at the same time a boy is always vulnerable," Putin told reporters. "He was very sweet. I'll be honest, I felt an urge to squeeze him like a kitten and that led to the gesture that I made. There was nothing behind it really." Tell that to the kid in 20 years, pal, when he's drinking too much, and unable to hold down a job or maintain any sort of personal relationship.
