Joe Biden: "My state was a slave state."

Delaware Sen. Joe Biden, last heard saying that you "cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent," insisted over the weekend that he can win in the South if he runs for president. "You don't know my state," Biden said during an appearance on Fox News. "My state was a slave state. My state is a border state. My state has the eighth-largest black population in the country. My state is anything from a Northeast liberal state."

For what it's worth, Biden is technically correct when it comes to his antebellum history. While Delaware didn't secede from the Union, slavery was in fact legal there.
