Gen. John Abizaid says the U.S. is winning in Iraq, provided the military has "unlimited time and unlimited support."

Reporters Tuesday asked Gen. John Abizaid, the top U.S. military commander for the Middle East, whether the United States is currently winning the war in Iraq. The Washington Post has his answer, and it's neither reassuring nor particularly realistic: "Given unlimited time and unlimited support, we're winning the war."
