The old "I've never met a gay person" routine usually plays so badly on TV. But Mary and David, a particularly open-minded couple from Kentucky, somehow make it seem charming. You also have to admire the excellent editing by the team at "The Amazing Race," splicing together the captivated country folk with priceless shots of the gay team, doing a peppy little cheer.
