Morning Briefing:
Photos of the happy couple: See what People reportedly paid $1 million for: Photos from Anna Nicole Smith's wedding-esque commitment ceremony with Howard K. Stern -- complete with an exchange of rings, a white veil and a Baptist minister, but without the legal documents to make it real -- are up on the magazine's Web site. The photo of Stern kissing the faux bride seems especially noteworthy, somehow. (People)

Brad wants brood: In an interview with London's Daily Mail, Brad Pitt says he wants to keep expanding his family with Angelina Jolie, as fast as possible. "I'm not joking around. I have three kids now and next year I'll have six. Nine. We're looking for a soccer team. I want to compete in the next World Cup." (New Zealand Herald)

L.A. Times publisher out: The drama continues at the Los Angeles Times, as publisher Jeffrey M. Johnson was forced out on Thursday and the Tribune Co., which owns the paper, appointed David Hiller to fill the role. Johnson was ousted over refusing to make job cuts requested by the Tribune. At the same time, editor Dean Baquet, who also stood up to the Tribune over the cuts and had said he would leave if Johnson was fired, has decided he'll be staying on. Times political reporter Mark Barabak told the Washington Post that "the mood is grim" at the paper. (Huffington Post, Los Angeles Times, Deadline Hollywood, Washington Post)

It's hard to be sure they were ever together, but Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston have allegedly split up. An Aniston friend tells Us Weekly, "They're 100 percent done." (Us Online) ... French police reportedly found more than 100 tablets of the drug ecstasy in Jimmy Buffett's luggage when the singer's private plane arrived in the south of France earlier this week. Buffett was fined 300 euros (about $380) but not arrested. (Page Six) ... Nicole Kidman has finally addressed the rumors that she's expecting, telling a British radio station this week, "I am not pregnant -- I will say right now I am not pregnant." (3 a.m. Girls) ... Rapper Cassidy is in intensive care with a fractured skull after a car crash in New York. (BBC News) ... Eva Longoria was taken to the hospital after hurting herself on the set of "Desperate Housewives" -- again. She went to the hospital in August 2005 after being hit by a piece of falling equipment on set; this time, she slipped on the stairs of her trailer, but her publicist says she's doing well: "Nothing is broken, but her ribs are very bruised." (Associated Press) ... Longoria's costar Marcia Cross announced last month that she's pregnant -- and now her rep says the actress is expecting twins. (E! Online)

Money Quote:
Kirsten Dunst, who plays the title role in the upcoming "Marie Antoinette," said she can understand why the film was booed when it premiered at Cannes earlier this year: "I didn't take it to heart. How would we feel about the French doing a movie about George Washington with French actors?" (Entertainment Weekly via Associated Press)
