White House: Bolton will leave U.N. post

The White House avoids a confirmation fight it was going to lose again.

And who says the Bush administration can't admit failure? As the Associated Press reports, the White House is confirming that John Bolton will leave his job as United Nations ambassador when his recess appointment expires, avoiding a Senate confirmation fight he was going to lose.
