A "repudiation" or just "reality"?

White House press secretary Tony Snow on the Iraq Study Group report: It's not a "repudiation of policy"; it's an "acknowledgment of reality."

One reality Snow and his boss might want to think about acknowledging: With the deaths of 11 U.S. troops, Wednesday was the deadliest day yet this year for U.S. soldiers fighting in Iraq. Thirty U.S. soldiers have been killed in the first six days of December. If this pace continues, it will be the deadliest month for U.S. troops since the war began nearly four years ago.
