Aside from Gwen Stefani's "Wind It Up," when it comes to popular music, yodeling's pretty much gone the way of the dodo. That wasn't always the case, though. Listen to Al Bernard and Frank Kamplain's remarkably crisp and irresistibly entertaining 1926 recording and you'll be oh-de-lay-de-doodling all day long. In fact, I'll take "Yodelin' Bill's" carefree ululating over Gwen's hollow Heidi imitation any day.
