Logo contest submissions

Two cool possibilities for Audiofile's new look.

The great Audiofile logo redesign contest is well under way! With a couple weeks still to go for submissions, we're highlighting two of the designs we've received so far. Jessica Brilli of Cambridge, Mass., is the sharp mind behind the even sharper green and black logo seen below. "I wanted to create a logo with a more modern feel -- and to update the gramophone image," says Brilli. "This worked out pretty well when I realized the 'o' in Audiofile would make a fantastic looking record."

Seattle's Michael Wold is the man responsible for the zany design below. "I like to figure out what is being alluded to -- in this case music -- and in what context the design will be utilized," says Wold. "The fellow appears to enjoy what he's hearing so that should tie in nicely with the pieces of music Audiofile chooses to share with us readers."

A big thanks to Michael and Jessica for their great designs -- but if you think you've got something better or even if you need to go back to the drawing board, make sure to keep the designs coming! The deadline is Feb. 12. In case you missed 'em the first time around, you can read the contest rules here.
