It has been a long time since I've been as excited about a movie as I am for "Black Snake Moan," which opens Friday and looks like a wonderfully lurid and pulpy blues fantasy. To whet all y'allz appetite, I'm posting "Meet Me in the City," by Akron, Ohio, blues duo the Black Keys, who are featured on the film's soundtrack. "Meet Me in the City" is taken from "Chulahoma," a Junior Kimbrough tribute EP the band recorded last year. I gotta say, the way the Black Keys rock the song's swampy blues vibe makes it easy to forget they're two scraggly white dudes from the Midwest.
