That's what friends are for

Hillary Clinton will help Tom Vilsack retire his campaign debt.

Earlier this week, former Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack endorsed Hillary Clinton in her run for the White House. Now the New York Daily News is reporting that Clinton will help Vilsack raise money to pay off the debt he ran up in his own short-lived presidential race.

Coincidence?

The Clinton campaign says it's "ridiculous" to suggest that it's anything else. "One thing's got absolutely nothing to do with the other," Clinton spokesman Phil Singer tells the Daily News. "They've known each other for years. If she weren't running for president, she'd be doing whatever she can to help retire his debt."
