Exclusive Song of the Day: "Die Die Die," the Avett Brothers

If you don't like this song, well then you're a mean old cuss.

The quirky sound of North Carolina's Avett Brothers has been described in creatively nebulous terms ranging from grunge grass to "post-civil war modern rock." I say they're simply a sweetly ragged pop band, somewhat reminiscent of the Violent Femmes. Call them what you will, but the bottom line is that you'd have to be one mean old cuss if today's song, from the band's new "Emotionalism" album, didn't put a smile on your face.
