If you're wondering what life is like in New Orleans two years after Katrina hit, "K-Ville" (premieres at 9 p.m. EDT), Fox's Big Easy police drama, aims to provide a colorful if somewhat melodramatic glimpse. Anthony Anderson (whom you'll recognize as Antwon Mitchell, Vic Mackey's archenemy from "The Shield") stars as Marlin, an outspoken cop whose partner deserted him when things got ugly in the wake of the storm. Marlin is assigned a new partner, Trevor (Cole Hauser), who was formerly a soldier in Afghanistan, but it seems like Trevor may be hiding something! Let's face it, pilots for cop shows are always a little dorky. Still, it's tough not to root for this gritty Nawlins slice of life anyway, if only to break the monotony of the 100 or so shows set in Los Angeles.

Also…

"Most Honorable Son," a documentary exploring the life of Ben Kuroki, the first Japanese-American war hero, airs at 9 p.m. EDT on PBS. Mary-Kate Olsen joins the cast of "Weeds" tonight (10 p.m. EDT on Showtime), playing Tara, a fundamentalist Christian who befriends Silas (Hunter Parrish). And "Prison Break" returns for its third season at 8 p.m. EDT on Fox.
