Bill O'Reilly's double standard

Democrats should appear on Fox, but the White House shouldn't waste its time elsewhere.

Bill O'Reilly had White House press secretary Dana Perino on his show Wednesday night, and he told her that she shouldn't waste her time talking to some mainstream -- read: non-Fox -- reporters who will "never give you a fair shake" and always "stab you in the back."

When Perino said that it's her job to make the effort anyway, O'Reilly responded: "All right. So you will go into the enemy camp to try to convince? You know, I have to say, with all due respect, you're wasting your time on some of these people ... They hate you. They're always going to hate you. No matter what you do, they'll destroy it."

And yes, that would be the same Bill O'Reilly who once said that John Edwards should be "ashamed" of himself for refusing to participate in a Democratic candidates' debate on Fox.
