Rush Limbaugh says he's the victim of "partisan character assassins."

Just before accusing Harry Reid, Dick Durbin and Jack Murtha of trying to "secure defeat of the United States and the United States military, in not only Iraq but the war on terror," radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh proclaims himself the victim of "partisan character assassins."

And if you haven't actually listened to a Limbaugh program before -- if you think that what we're having here is a rational political debate, or that the truth matters, or that the 2008 presidential election will actually turn on the details of somebody's plan for Iraq or healthcare or whatever -- then you really do owe it to yourself to watch this clip:

And if that's not enough for you, how's this? We stumbled across this video clip because it's posted on a site in which Eric Cantor, the chief deputy whip for Republicans in the House of Representatives, urges conservatives to rally around Rush.
