Can you believe it's been more than 12 years since Joel and Ethan Coen's crime dramedy "Fargo" (8 p.m. EDT on TMC) hit the big screen? What might surprise you even more is how entertaining this film still is the second or third time you see it. It's clear why Frances McDormand's performance as Marge Gunderson, a pregnant, small-town cop investigating a kidnapping, won her an Oscar for best actress. Ranging from hilarious to melancholy, "Fargo" blurred traditional genre boundaries and demonstrated how a comedy can be odd and unpredictable, but still feel as weighty as a straight crime drama. Arguably the Coen brothers' best film to date (it won the Oscar for best original screenplay), "Fargo" is definitely worth a second look -- or a first, if you're lucky enough to have never seen it.

Also…

ABC's surreal dramedy "Pushing Daisies" airs at 8 p.m. EDT, and Fox's new sitcom "Back to You" (8 p.m. EDT) is still worth watching, if mostly for some wicked one-liners by Fred Willard's odd weatherman. Damian Lewis plays a quirky detective out for revenge on NBC's "Life" (10 p.m. EDT).
