"I've worked as a doctor five years, all through the invasion. It's never been so bad, and it's getting worse every day. I don't know how much more of this I can take." Those are the words of the Iraqi doctor who filmed "Baghdad Hospital: Inside the Red Zone" (8:30 p.m. EST on HBO), who captures one haunting scene after another at Al Yarmouk hospital in Baghdad, where the doctors are besieged by bomb victims and fear for their lives each day. The filmmaker also takes a memorable ambulance ride through the streets of the city, as a handful of Iraqis injured by a terrorist bomb lament sectarian violence and express their disbelief that any Iraqi could do such a thing to another Iraqi. This heartbreaking film is essential viewing at a time when candidates are debating how to get out of the mess in Iraq without leaving the Iraqi people behind.

Noah Baumbach's funny, heartbreaking tale of a divorce's effects on two kids, "The Squid and the Whale," airs at 11 a.m. EST on ENC. The post-game analysis of "The Real Housewives of Orange County," in which Bravo's grating go-to guy, Andy Cohen, grills the housewives, airs at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo. In the second half-hour of nightly therapy drama "In Treatment," fighter pilot Alex (Blair Underwood) discusses his last mission (9:30 p.m. EST on HBO), Christian reels in the wake of a tragedy on FX's "Nip/Tuck" (10 p.m. EST) while a Chinese screenwriter is the subject of the "Independent Lens" documentary "How Is Your Fish Today?"
