"I've worked as a doctor five years, all through the invasion. It's never been so bad, and it's getting worse every day. I don't know how much more of this I can take." Those are the words of the Iraqi doctor who filmed "Baghdad Hospital: Inside the Red Zone" (8:30 p.m. EST on HBO), who captures one haunting scene after another at Al Yarmouk hospital in Baghdad, where the doctors are besieged by bomb victims and fear for their lives each day. The filmmaker also takes a memorable ambulance ride through the streets of the city, as a handful of Iraqis injured by a terrorist bomb lament sectarian violence and express their disbelief that any Iraqi could do such a thing to another Iraqi. This heartbreaking film is essential viewing at a time when candidates are debating how to get out of the mess in Iraq without leaving the Iraqi people behind.
