We had heard this was going to be a long night, but it might not end up that way — the Associated Press has called Florida’s Republican primary for Sen. John McCain over second-place finisher Mitt Romney. CNN and Fox News have also called for McCain, though as of this posting, MSNBC still has Florida listed as too close to call. From McCain headquarters in Florida, Salon’s Mike Madden reports that the cheer “Mac is back!” has gone up from the crowd.
Update: MSNBC just called for McCain as well.
